The role
Globiance is looking for a competent professional to play an enabling role on this journey of growth and excitement as a Chief Technology Officer with at least ten years of experience in information technology environment to take part in overseeing and developing our IT operations.
The Chief Technology Officer’s primary focus will be overseeing the development and dissemination of technology for external customers, vendors and clients to help improve and increase business. You need to have passion for the IT environment and sufficient skin-in-the-game needs to be clearly demonstrated.
With a global approach and focus on our USA, Europe, and Asia businesses, he or she will establish the company’s technical vision and lead all aspects of the company’s technological development in consistent with the institution’s risk policies/appetite.
What you are good at
- Manage and lead a team on the Information Technology development
- Ensure execution and market risk is contained per compliance of internal parameters
- Participate in system analysis and design of various blockchain businesses, design decentralized transaction systems, security protocols and architectures for different business functions.
- Support the growth of technology within the firm
- Leading the tackling of technical problems and continuously improving the decentralization system and other relevant systems
- Evaluate and anticipate potential technical risks to ensure safe, stable and fast operation of the system
- Understand the latest development status of the field through continuous learning, and actively cooperate with the company’s strategic development
- Use continuous integration technology to build, deploy and test all aspects of the product to ensure high-quality delivery
- Understanding the current industry’s product and technology landscape; brings innovative ideas to the team
- Conversant with the application of multi-secure computing, privacy protection, DeFi, decentralized transactions, and lending, such as lending, transaction, payment, wallet, infrastructure development, and proficient in its principles
- Carry out review of manuals to ensure applicable regulatory laws are incorporated
- Identify regulatory and industry challenges for the organization
- Making executive decisions on behalf of the company’s technological requirements.
- Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.
- Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook and aiding in the delivery of IT projects to market.
- Managing technology budgets and time frames.
- Staying on top of technology trends and developments.
- Ensuring all technology practices adhere to regulatory standards.
Key skills you have
Bachelor degree or above, with more than 12 years of work experience, and more than 3 years of work experience in blockchain and financial technology related projects/product environment.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum 10 years of working experience with 5 years of experience in a senior IT position preferably experience in blockchain and financial technology related projects/product environment
- 5 years of managerial experience
- Advanced technological skillset and a demonstrated history with technology
- Experience in development and implementation of various IT systems
- Knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and to provide leadership to a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify problems and develop solutions
- Strong risk control/compliance mindset with good operations skills
- Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future
- High personal standard of ethics, integrity and commitment
- Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
