The role
Globiance is looking for a senior Card Management director with at least ten years of experience in card management and financial solutions to manage our operations and administrative related activities within the Card Operations.
The Head of Card Management’s primary focus will be to maximise profitability of the cards business by ensuring that such activities are carried out with maximum efficiency, security and control, and that quality service is provided to internal and external customers in accordance with agreed service standards. Must also ensure efficient day-to-day costs and risks through operational efficiencies, controls and optimised level of staff performance through motivation, guidance and training.
With a global approach and focus on our USA, Europe, and Asia businesses, he or she will be supervising personnel, planning the division’s budget, providing advice and conflict resolution management to staff and maintaining the division’s standard and quality of work.
What you are good at
- Manage card management section activities and follow up on achievements.
- Follow-up on the required developments received from the vendors.
- Follow-up on day-to-day business procedures related to banking systems operations.
- Execute the necessary technical tests for all programs and modifications of the section.
- Analyze the bank’s requirements including automated systems, applications update and finding the appropriate technical solutions in coordination with the Banking System Department Manager.
- Supervise the development and maintenance of card management systems in the bank according to the plans and time limits in this regard.
- Implement card applications on the live environment after signing UATs.
- Ensure that the card management systems work properly.
- Ensure that the card management system is in contact with different entities (PMA, MEPS, Banking System, ATMs)
- Execute technical tests and certification tests with external parties (PMA, MEPS)
- Addressing the problems of card management section systems radically.
- Ensure that encryption systems (HSM) are working properly.
- Ensure that the Debit Cards printing system works properly.
- Prepare Section policies and procedures in coordination with the Banking System Department Manager.
- Submit reports of the section achievements to the Banking System Manager.
- Participate in the implementation of the Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and the Crisis Management Plan (CMP).
- Participate in the development of Business Continuity Plans (BCP) that contain procedures for resuming work in emergencies in addition to developing and reviewing them periodically.
- Ensure that the operations are in compliance with the PMA and regulatory instructions.
- Address the problems and observations contained in the reports of the internal and external auditors in a complete way, to prevent their recurrence in the future in coordination with the Banking System Department Manager.
- Evaluate the staff performance.
- Continuous evaluation of the card management tasks to ensure distribution, workflow, and good performance according to policies and in coordination with Banking System Department Manager.
- Ensure that the daily operations are in accordance with the approved policies and procedures.
- Contribute to providing distinctive technical support to the various departments of the bank.
- Study the available alternatives from employees on an ongoing basis with the aim of providing the replacement employee for all the basic jobs in the various sections to maintain the permanence of the work.
- Submit accident reports to the concerned authorities for all incidents related to the activities of the card management section and follow-up on incident handling.
Key skills you have
- Bachelor of Information Technology/ Computer Science or any related discipline with 5 years of experience in the cards’ management field
- Or Master of Information Technology/ Computer Science or any related discipline with 5 years of experience in the card management field
- Very good experience in card management and card printing
- Very good experience in encryption procedures and device (HSM)
- Very good experience in the mechanism of communication with external parties (PMA, MEPS, MC, and ATM)
- Very good experience in troubleshooting
- Very good experience in daily card operations
- Knowledge about cryptocurrencies.
- Ability to work under pressure and to provide leadership to a team
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management, organizational and time management skills
- Strong analytical skills with ability to identify problems and develop solutions
- Strong risk control/compliance mindset with good operations skills
- High personal standard of ethics, integrity and commitment
- Knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures, and guidelines to consistently achieve required compliance standards or benchmarks.
